What is the best way to make money solo in GTA Online?

A heist or a group activity does not play the same when you go alone. Here is what works without a crew, with the VicePeak engine figure and the catch to know about.

Figures checked on October 8, 2026.

How the figures are calculated

In short: playing solo, the top-ranked method is “Cayo Perico Heist”, at about $793,019 per hour. It needs a purchase of $2,200,000 first.

What the game changes when you play solo

Without a crew, everything depends on what the game allows you alone: a longer cooldown, preparation you do entirely yourself, sometimes a cap.

For the method above, what the game imposes: One heist every 2 hrs 24 min solo, 48 min as a crew.

The other methods you can play solo

Sorted by dollars earned per hour, with no crew. In your plan, they are ranked for your cash and your time.

Why earnings read differently when solo

Earnings per hour are worked out over the full cycle: play time, the preparation you do alone, plus the wait imposed before you can cash out.

An hourly figure assumes you chain the activity: respect the game’s delays before multiplying that number by your play time.

Payouts are averages worked out from the recorded ranges: your result varies with your game.

This page is the general one. Your plan is about you.

Tell VicePeak three things: your plan builds itself in front of you, with figures worked out for your game.

  • Your ranking, just for you. Recalculated from your cash, what you own, your crew and your time. What ranks first here can be far behind for you.

  • Your first purchase, and the next. What to buy with your money, in what order, with the payback time of each purchase.

  • Short steps. A plan in ten steps at most: the activities to run and their order, with nothing to look up elsewhere.

  • A plan that moves with you. When you finish it, the next one takes into account what you earned. Your progress and net worth stay tracked.

  • Analyses before you buy. The analysis shows what to play and what to buy to reach what you are after, vehicles included.
